This policy explains what information eCribbage (eCribbage.com, the eCrib+ play site and the eCribbage iPhone app) collects, how it is used, and how you can delete your account.
What we collect
When you use eCribbage we collect and store:
- Account details you give us at sign-up: your username and email address (and your password, stored only in encrypted form).
- Optional profile information you choose to add, such as your nickname, bio, avatar, location or birthday.
- Gameplay records: games you play, scores, statistics, tournament and league results, trophies and other achievements.
- Messages you send in lounge chat, game chat and private messages, so they can be delivered and so we can enforce the Member Conduct rules.
- Technical information reasonably needed to run the service, such as your IP address, browser, device type and connection times.
- Notification tokens: if you allow notifications in the eCribbage iPhone app, the device token Apple gives us to deliver them.
How we use it
eCribbage uses this information solely to operate and improve the eCribbage Services: to run games, tournaments and leagues, show standings and statistics, deliver messages and notifications, keep accounts secure, and enforce our Terms of Service. We do not use your information for advertising profiles.
Sharing
eCribbage does not sell your information, and will not share it with any party, with the exception of certain entities necessary to the operation, processing, and technical support of eCribbage (for example, our hosting, email and payment providers, and Apple's push notification service for the iPhone app). Your username, avatar, profile and game results are visible to other players as part of using the service.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe; eCribbage never receives or stores your full card details.
Notifications
The eCribbage iPhone app can send notifications, for example when your Long Match opponent comes online or when you receive a message while you are away. Notifications are only sent if you allow them, and you can turn them off at any time in your iPhone's Settings.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time: in the eCribbage iPhone app under Goodies → Delete Account, or by emailing info@ecribbage.com. Deleting your account closes it permanently: you are signed out, you can no longer sign in, and your username, email address, profile and avatar are removed and replaced with an anonymous placeholder. Game results and other records that involve other players (such as their game histories, standings and tournament brackets) are kept so their records stay complete.
Children
You must be at least thirteen (13) years of age to use the eCribbage Services. eCribbage does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13 it will be removed.
